GENERAL PICTURES OF THE COMMON COLD


Abstract
The common cold is one of the most prevalent illnesses in our life. Usually it attacks most of us more than once a year and we can always see a lot of victims in our surroundings. The conception of the common cold, however, has not been clearly established and the scientific aspects of this disease is not likely to be practically systemized in the foreseeable future.
The author has attempted to make a review of works on the disease that have been accomplished up to now, and then to explain it in terms of the concept and the nature of the disease that have traditionally been entertained and understood Korean people. Furthermore the author has attempted to classify the common cold into three subtypes and analyze their clinical pictures on the basis of newly developed virulogical knowledge.
